About Us
County Hall Cricket Club was formed in 1936, playing Cricket at Leahoe, adjacent to the main County Hall building in Hertford, Hertfordshire's County Town.
In 1996, the Club entered one team into the Hertfordshire Cricket League and promptly walked away with the Division 5 East title. The following year, the Club entered a 2nd XI into the League and both XI's again came top of their respective Divisions. In 8 seasons of League Cricket, both XI's have won 2 championships and achieved a further promotion up the League in 2001. At present, the 1st XI play their Cricket in Division Three and the 2nd XI in Division Eight.
We also have a Sunday fixture list and run weekly net sessions at Haileybury College, both during the season and in the winter.
We are a friendly, family orientated Club that is affiliated to the County Hall Staff Sports Association, who's well stocked bar we have full use of.
Our membership fee is £40 with match fees of £6. We know of no other League Club in Hertfordshire with cheaper subscriptions.
We rely heavily on two major fundraising schemes for our income - Our 100 Club and the Saracens CashBack Scheme. Other fundraising events include Quiz Nights, Wine Tasting Evenings, Golf Days and Ten Pin Bowling Events.
County Hall Cricket Club is a non-profit making organisation and all monies generated are used to 'foster and develop the game of cricket' at the Club. We allocate the bulk of our fundraising towards the upgrade and maintenance of the wicket at Leahoe.
County Hall Cricket Club are always seeking new members, so if you are interested in joining our Club, whether as a player, umpire, scorer or just to join in with our many social activities, please do not hesitate to contact us.
